Zoom microscope, 3.75X to 36X

Summary Of our two zoom microscopes this is the most flexible for magnification, with unusual ability (thanks to the extra eyepieces) to use low magnifications, which you need for repairing jewellery, watches, small antiques etc.  For these applications, although you could turn the magnification up to 36X, it's unlikely you will ever need more than 8X. Details Objective / zoom: 0.75 to 3.6 Working distance about 4 inches. Includes two pairs of eyepieces:  5X w/a  (wide angle) 14mm dia. gives continuous zoom from 3.75X to 18X 10X w/a  (wide angle) 20mm dia. gives continuous zoom from 7.5X to 36X Lighting: you can switch between reflected lighting (the 45 degree light), transmitted lighting (under the stage), both together or no lights at all. At  3.5X to about 5X, you will be able to use your hands, e.g. for painting miniatures, micro-soldering, any fine repairs. At about 5X to 8X you will be able to work with fine tools on the tiniest objects, e.g. watch movements. From about 10X this is a general 'inspection' microscope, for gemstones, stamps, coins...everything you might use a jeweller's loupe for (but much better optical quality!).   For jewellery, antiques renovation (even stamps and coins) you are unlikely to turn the magnification up beyond 20X, but you have the option.
